For sale is what I believe to be an odd or orphaned suit jacket made by Henry Poole & Co Savile Row which I intended to wear as a sport coat. It is in such good condition that I can almost believe it was left in cold storage all this time. When I brought the coat to my tailor he also remarked how a high quality wool material can remain in such fine condition. He described it as herringbone texture wool in 11 ounce. Not even wear marks on the cuffs, jacket collar or jacket bottom. I almost want to believe that the beautiful white with blue stripes lining in the sleeves are new. No stain marks. Th color is slate blue with thin blue stripes, single vent with four functioning buttons on cuff. Measurements are: shoulder seam to shoulder seam 17.5 inches; underarm to underarm 21; waist 19; length from bottom of collar 31; sleeves 25.5. Two labels: collar label states Henry Poole & Co Savile Row Ltd Cork Street London W1 and inside pocket label says Henry Poole & Co 10 11 12 Cork Street 1978 PM IDF Made in England. I acquired the coat last year because I was curious to see an example of Savile Row tailoring.
