SOLD! Thanks for looking....
**************************************************************
I'm offering for sale a pair of used, but in good condition, Crockett & Jones (for Polo) bench-made in England (Northampton, specifically) classic tassel loafers in everybody's favorite color, black.
They've been used sparingly, and are well cared for (they even have Topys on the toes).
Only $80 shipped anywhere in the United States (even Alaska and Hawaii). A mere $100 to Canada, and $105 anywhere else in the world. This really is an awesome deal on a quality pair of shoes that will provide years of enjoyment.
Marked size 10D (The sole measures approx. 12 inches long, 4 1/4" wide). These wonderful shoes are made by Crockett & Jones. A little about C & J: "Founded in 1879 in Northampton, at the heart of England's most famous shoemaking town, Crockett & Jones are today renowned throughout the world for their fine quality shoes. Hand-crafted by the traditional Goodyear-welted construction using only the finest leathers available, Crockett & Jones shoes have an exceptional combination of comfort, elegance and durability in wear. Each pair takes up to 8 weeks to manufacture, in a highly skilled process involving over 200 separate operations. Now in its fourth generation, Crockett & Jones remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of traditional craftsmanship, quality and service, which have been appreciated by its customers for more than 100 years." C&J shoes are also mentioned in this article which was discussed on these boards a few days ago titled
"Connoisseur's Guide: The Best Men's Shoes" (http://www.forbes.com/collecting/200..._0225conn.html) "Crockett & Jones, based in Northampton, Britain's shoemaking capital, not only markets shoes under its own label but also makes them for Polo Ralph Lauren and Brooks Brothers."
They have all the features you'd expect of an elite shoe -- beveled waist, channeled soles, aniline leather, etc. -- these are the real deal!
