Up for your consideration are two ties. The first is a Brooks Brothers in blue, red, and silver. 3.75 inches in width. Excellent condition. $22 shipped in continental U.S. Edit: BB sold.

Second is a Bullock & Jones in red, blue, and navy (photos are a bit dark; actual colors are more vibrant). Handmade in England. 3.75 inches in width. Excellent condition, save for a faint spot on the B&J lining on the reverse side (see photo). $19 shipped in continental U.S. Edit: B&J price dropped to $15 shipped.

FYI, the Bullock & Jones tie is almost certainly by Charles Hill (if the other side of the 'Handmade in England' has a small 'CH' on it), which means that it's basically a Turnbull & Asser.

That's interesting, Alan -- I had no idea. You're absolutely right; I checked the reverse of the tag, and indeed there is a tiny "CH" in the corner. Thanks for the info.

im reading the above, and i dont know too much about charles hill or turnbull, but i assume that makes this tie more exclusive and very very nice huh?

Charles Hill is highly regarded as an English tie maker, and for a brief time had its own shop in NYC. They make under their own name (for Barney's, etc.), but also do a fair amount of private label work for places like Bullock & Jones. Apparently Charles Hill is essentially the same outfit as Turnbull & Asser, but called 'Charles Hill' when not making for T&A (if that made sense).

I really like Charles Hill ties, and have several of them, including some from Bullock & Jones.
