I saw this last night and thought it was great. It is much funnier than Midnight in Paris, though there is less of a sense that Allen is trying to say something. If you enjoy absurdist Woody, then you will probably think this movie a winner. I am not a Penelope Cruz fan in particular, but she was great. The young Italian bride was beautiful and the homewrecker friend was a great character, though you could hear Woody Allen writing her lines.
I think this may be his funniest film.

To Rome With Love. I saw it opening night, last Friday. I loved it. I don't think it is his best, or funniest, however.

I am not a huge Woody Allen fan.
What did you think was his funniest? I though this and Whatever Works.
I thought Manhattan was great.

I like his absurdist stuff best (why I liked this) and loved Without Feathers, one of his early books.

See, now I am a huge Allen fan. I am not sure what is funniest is. I must say I like his mockumentary films like Zelig, and Take the Money and Run and such. He has so many that I love very much. He also has some dark ones like Interiors and Match Point. I find him versatile.

Which one had the mother in the sky? That was great.

That was a short film that was part of a series of shorts titled, "New York Stories". Allen's segment was called, "Oedipus Wrecks".

Fun fact about New York Stories is that the cute little girl Zoe, in "Life Without Zoe" is Heather McComb who later went on to marry James Van Der Beek. They have since divorced.

Glad to hear it! I've just seen a couple of reviews which held the opposite, but who listens to reviewers?

Maybe I missed something in the dubbing.
