That part about the Gucci shoes being crap was unnecessary.

Funny how the potential buyer is bent out of shape. Seems like you said "I can knock off $10." I don't see where you obligated yourself to do anything.

Perhaps. Admittedly I was annoyed at his nickel and diming me upon seeing his purchase history for high-priced goods.

I prodded him some more and now he still wants to buy them!

What would you do?

There is nothing better then a random SF thread to lend some light on the other half. I fail to see the point in having 70+ pairs of shoes if you stuck dodging bullets and hiding you medals from your son and soon to be exwife.

Just sell it as long as it's from a legit payment source and you are sure he won't/can't dispute it. Money is worth the same no matter who it comes from.

I wouldn't sell them if he offered double. This is clearly a nutter who is gonna receive them and then open up a dispute.

I wouldn't have posted the thread to an internet message board. He's not just a jerk or a skinflint; something's not right with the guy. (And it may not be any of the problems he claims to have; he could just be generally loony.) That's not something to revel in.

He's insisted on doing it through eBay/PP for his 'protection'. You're right about the risk of him disputing the charge, not to mention the fact that I don't want to give him my mailing address!

Yeah there are cancer drugs that cause extreme paranoia and delusions in individuals. Best to leave him alone.

If only we could hear the cynical author of this unmatched work of performance-art genius read his masterpiece aloud.

Exactly. the guy is not a nut. He's creative and he's having some fun. The telltale signs are everywhere, including the inconsistencies in his scores of spelling and grammatical 'mistakes'. He has no intention of buying, is my guess. If there's such a thing as an eBay troll, you found him.
