Maintaining an insouciant attitude in one's dress the day after an 18-inch blizzard does take some fortitude, and my ideas for today's attire have been molded by a desire to wear only things soon destined for the dry cleaners, so this may not be the perfect example of "sprezzatura", but it is spontaneous enough I think, at least for the purposes of this contest.
As for photography, "sprezzatura" is all about flash, and after looking at yesterday's non-flash photos, I think that I prefer flash for documentary purposes. When I can figure out how to make non-flash photos without murkiness, I will revert to non-flash.

Good, lord, what now?
I am not ******* late.....there is no such thing as late.....and you are cramping my steez.
Ok, better make sure the laces are just right..never know.....
Oh, so I have to wait for you? Steezus Christ!
Oh, my closeup!!!
I realized when I got to work that my camera settings were blown. So, instead of getting those awesome super-saturated shots, I got these half-assed medium res shots.
Oh, well. Have a good one.........I can't wait to see the turnout today. This is a cool challenge!

Ok! Smokatura time...about as sprezz as I can get
inlandisland:
I apologize for the fuzziness to a couple of the pics - sometimes I just can't tell until I get them on the computer. Feedback always appreciated. Have a great Friday/Weekend everyone.
clintonf:
I had to leave the house today, so my Sprezz, is liking individual components and putting them together.
That's all folks!!

"Was that a noise? I sure hope my coworkers don't catch me posing in this getup."
"Nah, I'm good. Gotta open it up and make sure they see my TWO flapped shirt pockets. Lotsa sprezz."
Threadbearer:
How many individual items of sprezz can you find in my outfit? Bonus points if you can name the SF originator of each stolen idea. Additional bonus points if you can get him to cop to it.
Don't laugh. ^ I paid $1000 dollars for that tie clip.
Yes, those are tweed cargo pants. ^ Read 'em and weep, boys.
^ People who flip their watches around the other way are just trying way too hard in my opinion. I wear mine like a normal person.
I'm eager for Velcro dress shoes to hit the market. In the meantime, who can be bothered?

Also totally ridiculous. I immediately took my "belt"off.

Please note that all my (pretended) sprezz is in the PS, which actually is just a folded 20 Euro bank note. Yes, some people noticed, one asked. I told him that I liked the colours.
Now I'm going to read and enjoy your approaches, gentlemen.

Sprezzatura, to the best of my understanding, is the quality of style characterized by a studied spontenaity of dress, and an insouciant and idiosyncratic attitude of accessorization. If one does it well, one is supposed to look thrown together, in some respects, but thrown together perfectly.

Man, it is such a nice crisp morning. Maybe if I stand here looking nonchalant, TT or Schuman will snap a pic......

I have no idea whether this constitutes anything but a mess, but here goes my attempt.
I had to leave the house today, so my Sprezz, is liking individual components and putting them together.

NewYorkRanger:
Unless you count a foot and a half of snow on the ground, and salt stains on my boots, I'm afraid, I'm sitting the best sprezz competition.
Thin White Duke:
Still not sure I understand the theme - is it sprezzatura? = studied nonchalance, is that not an oxymoron? What's 'pitti' all about? Oh well, here goes ...
Orgetorix:
This shot has sort of a "huhwhat?" air that for some reason reminds me of NYR. Sorry, Rob!
"Was that a noise? I sure hope my coworkers don't catch me posing in this getup."

I tried to hold it under 5 Bozos on the Clown scale.

This is what I call "Suburban Shopping Mall Uomo".
Also totally ridiculous. I immediately took my "belt"off.

Not sure why, but I think I wore a bow every day this week. One of those weeks I guess.
