I'm going to be a total asshole and say I don't understand all the love for TTO's fit. It doesn't look like it fits him well at all. And I'm saying this while thinking my own doesn't fit well at all either (it's definitely too small with that cardigan under it).[/quote]

Bad loser...

TTO looks good if you discount his beard...

Not an asshole, and completely correct! Thanks for your honest opinion.
The suit is definitely too small for me still

It was a much better fit a few years ago when I got it , but hangs in my wardrobe as a reminder to keep going to the gym!
If I get the rest of my excess inches off I may consider tailoring the arms, but at the moment its not worth it.

I don't think that is the case at all. I think Aeglus was just providing some feedback.

It is a little small, which why I suggested maybe trying it as a 6x1. Still, I gave you a vote Theo, because I am a big fan of the DB in general and I thought, fit issues aside, it was a nice combo.

The other, and perhaps greater problem, is the crappy photos. Holding a camera and shooting a mirror doesn't work well for getting a good shot of your entire outfit. And for a simple outfit to shine on fit, you need a good photo and a good setting. Simplicity, in itself, can make for an attractive outfit. But it doesn't come across well with photos like that. You need full body, decent lighting, decent setting, and some degree of panache.
Don't worry, I was being totally sarcastic. I realize my outfit was no bueno and the crappy photo was meant to be a "cheap" style bathroom one.

+1 But I also think he's sporting too many competing patterns. He has managed to make it "work" in a technical sense, but it's still an awful lot for the viewer to take in.

I knew it was somewhat sarcastic with the "I should wear more expensive stuff" bit, but I really don't browse the WAYWRN much, so I wouldn't have known that you were cheaping it down production-wise from your normal. Or whatever.

As for the outfit itself, a look like that can be awesome. Guys like NYR look great wearing stuff like that. Speaking of which, a three piece suit? At least it's tweed. I really only keep track of WAYWRN posters through this contest, but that one took me off guard. Looks good though.

Close as sardines in a can...
I think Mike should take this one with thrifty goodness that fits rather than my Arkham inmate pattern mismatching experiment!

I quite like your outfit...

It's a bit like ZZ TOP meets Savile row.

Love the merona socks Orgetorix! They may shrink in the wash but for $2.50 they do alright
