The Blouson.jpg

It's fall and we still can pull out a 'Harrington', one of the most versatile jacket one can own.
It seems like the new Challenge for the next couple of weeks is figuring how to look smart with a simple blouson, at first designed to play Golf.

RULES :
The picture(s) must be recent, one month maximum.
The jacket must have the traditional 'Harrington' design, with a classic collar and a full zip (G9 or G4 style. The main differences between these jackets are the waist and cuffs).
It must be made of cloth (no suede or leather).
The outer and lining can be of any color and pattern. The classic Tartan lining is not mandatory (but welcome).
Jeans are accepted as they look good with a blouson, but the idea is Smart Casual. Shirt, Polo, Knitwear, Trousers.
A possible look quite hard to pull off : why not wearing a tie, like on this Ad :

My one Harrington jacket is a double sided number with seersucker on one side and patchwork madras on the other. Not the best for this time of year. I’ll check if I have any other options, but I may have to sit this one out.

@Clouseau by your definition @macjedi would be disqualified as his doesn’t have a stand up collar!
Well I said a Stand collar but what i meant was a traditional Harrington collar ( edited to 'classic collar').. Don't forget English is not my first language.
I think @macjedi 's one is a 'Dean' model so a tad different but it does the trick!

Of course 'takes' are welcome, as long as the basic rules are respected.

The deadline is December 2.

I for one would like to see that one in action!

Interesting challenge. Not really Harrington season here at the moment, but I'll se if I can come up with something.

Winter is not great Baracuta weather.

Winter blousons often have fur lining - but leather and suede are excluded here. Maybe tweed or heavy wool might work but then the Harrington collar requirement will eliminate more possibilities.

The usual suspects in the photos. Frank looks too old for a Harrington. He is better in his rat pack suit and trilby sat at some bar with his tie loosened.

Well we are not in Winter but in Autumn/Fall aren't we ?
And the weather depends of the hemispheres ?

I am wearing a Harrington today, with knitwear, and it's just good...

Yes, the usual suspects, that's why i said "More obvious inspiration"...

Too old for a Harrington???
Yeah those cream harringtons are almost a uniform for the geriatric. Paired with those taupe SAS* ‘trainers’ with Velcro straps which are kinder than shoelaces to arthritic hands! Accessorised with chic aluminium walking frame with cut tennis balls on the legs to assist with movement.

*The orthopedic shoe company not the elite British military unit!
