You all look like you could have been interviewed for the John Simons film :)
I wish. I visited the Ivy Shop and the Squire Shop back in the day. Bought threads and footwear there in 1969. The rest is history.

[I didn't manage to get into that film, but did squeeze into the Don Letts docu about Sk*nh**d.]

Today - or autumn 1969?

Back in 1968 / 69 we all aspired to a John Simons Harrington but many of us, schoolboys at the time, had to settle for a less exotic version. Today I still enjoy these Combat English-made jackets that are very close to the style and feel of my late 60's ones.

EFV was the best example so far.

Then I noticed he was not wearing socks. So that means automatic disqualification.

Jerrold, or Oxford Cloth Button Down as he used to post under, had the Harrington look down to a T. Very traditional but you could not fault it.

Always interesting to look at the backgrounds too when he posted on that same spot on Main Street. Watch the seasons change, empty streets traffic etc.
