It is silly. But that isn’t the same as “hate.” It’s just an unjustified classification of formality.
There are a few vocal adherents to this mindset. I'd echo @coldsalmon and say that sometimes with a tie it can sometimes seem more formal, but in a casual setting, not at all.
Again, this challenge will last till next Friday, so there'll be many chances to post, including those going to Pitti

This wasn't put together for the sake of this thread, but I did wear it yesterday so I figured I might as well share

Almost forgot to post this up here.

Had some really nice weather in North Bay while wine tasting for some friends birthdays. Thankfully it wasn’t blistering as it usually is.

The fabric on this SC is some of my favorite I’ve ever seen in my limited exposure.

I really like Panamas. I reckon that hat would look 50% better if you flipped the brim up at the back.

(And IMO another 50% better if you flip it up at the front. That’s just the way I like ‘em but you definitely need to flip the back!)

I agree 100% about the back! The past few days I’ve been trying to train it to stay flipped up but I may have to take it to the hat store to make it more permanent.

I reserve the right to change my entry if my new summer jacket gets here in time. With that new jacket on you'll barely be able to tell me and McFox apart.

Luckily “barely” still leaves room for discernment.
