You have a week and a half to build a time machine or you can just wear something similar again.
Deal! Will likely repeat. Or not. Will play though, coach!

I wish I could say I wore this for the challenge but it was totally coincidental. But I think this is a deceptively difficult one so it deserves more exposure. It also doesn't hurt that the revised rules allow the shirt I chose. :)

It's alright, but I expected better from you. Fortunately there is still almost a week!

It's so great how your glasses aren't wider than your face, he said as he pushed back from his desk, laced his hands behind his head and took a deep breath in.

I'm curious about something. I've noticed that people roughly of your generation (which is also my generation, although I would guess that I'm slightly older than you) seem to side-step direct and forthright statements in favor of somewhat vague and elusive statements that purposefully sacrifice precision in favor of interpretational wiggle room. Why is that? What is gained by purposefully making vague statements rather than identifying and discussing things in a forthright way? Is it a way of hedging your bets in an environment that you don't fully feel in control of?

Today none buys my verse’s wine that it may grow in age,
To make the senses reel in many a drinker to come,
My star rose highest in the firmament before my birth,
My poetry will win the world’s acclaim when I am gone.

(He says as he sidesteps the spec critique.)

It was just me taking a bit of pleasure in you doing the one thing you've complained about me doing many times. No sidestepping.

Are you referring to comments made on the internet, IRL or both? Who doesn't want to have an out? Lest someone think we are not nearly as smart as we think we are.

Eli, I think you have me confused with someone else. I've commented on your glasses recently but I don't recall the width being something I have specifically complained about.

But yes, you were sidestepping the issue because you could have just said that you thought I was being hypocritical for critiquing your glasses when mine suffer from the same deficiencies. Rather, you made a comment heavily dependent on imagery and allusion. My contention is that that's common for people our age and I wonder why.
