Wow! What is that, Duchamp?
Edit: From a distance, you can't tell how much is going on in it!
HansderHund has an eye for the gaudy tie! Yes, it's Duchamp.
I own far too many gaudy ties, I'm afraid. While I won't be entering this week, I can say the surest and quickest way to owning a "bold" tie is to either accept one as a gift (from a woman) or take advice on tie buying (from a woman).
I must take complete responsibility for this tie. I chose it as my wedding tie, so several of my nearest and dearest also have one haunting their closets.
psychedelic tie, shugz.
It would be fun to do a bunch of mushrooms or LCD and stare at that tie
Pink + Blue + White tie
I got John Blaze shit.
My intent was to wear a bold tie but not be gaudy about it - I could have pulled a Versace out and murdered it. But, I wanted to do something that was cohesive, which I think is much harder to accomplish than throwing on, oh, a pink cashmere attolini tie.
Vintage MTM cotton suit (not my MTM)
Polo RL tie
Hermes Bee jacquard gavroche
Trafalgar cortina leather belt
Aqua di Colonia Firenze
Gaziano & Girling Antibes on their maiden voyage
antibes look stellar.
we need to change name of challenge to "large print paisley tie" challenge.
I would not say "massive." "Aggressive" maybe!
Is anyone else astonished at how once again the tip of the tie JUST touches the belt buckle? I am starting to suspect that Spoo has a valet who is in possession of a PHD in Physics.
Right now I am split between Sugar and Spoo. Though our host has not entered yet. The thing about Sugarbutch is that the tie is totally outrageous, but it still seems like he can pull it off for a business function (assuming he is not a Funeral Director).
There are a lot of tasteful, non-outrageous ties on this thread. How disappointing.
Though I'm not participating, a good choice by Orgetorix. It's fun to see everyone bring in ties they'd never post into a normal day-to-day outfit.
Very interesting what qualifies as "bold" around the world......
This is one of the bolder ties I own...especially up close.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
Hmmm. I don't know, Orge. I think that might fall squarely into "cheery" rather than "bold"... Still, looking good.
Clapey, that tie ain't bold. Looking good, though.
Separate names with a comma.
