Really interesting stuff this week. Here's my entry if for no other reason than these cashmere RLPL pants are like wearing little glen plaid clouds:

No. The coat is by Brook Taverner (UK).

As williamson adroitly pointed out in the WAYWRN thread, Northern Lights are more usually green than brown, so I'm going to go with this fit from today as my official entry rather than the brown-themed one I wore yesterday. [IMG]

This is getting more intimidating by the minute. Honestly, I could give a thumbs up to all of them. Such good stuff that I’m going to post now before even more good stuff shows up. Otherwise I’d chicken out.

Going casual. Goal 1: stay warm (camel hair, very heavy one-of-a-kind hand-made cable knit boat neck sweater, actually worn on a real boat); goal 2: get at least one vote. (I can live with one out of two).

Thank,s all. Have a good weekend.

    Cheers,

    Ac

    Thanks! $4.99 at Salvation Army.

Those are some huge cables, AC!

Indeed. It was stupid of me not to include a picture showing the full front; the parts covered by the jacket are in a vertical herringbone pattern, which frames the cables in the front. Friday afternoon burnout.

Very beautiful trousers in your photos, by the way.

    Cheers,

    Ac

Beautiful coat. And a textbook example of perfect horizontal alignment of the pockets with the buttons. That ticket pocket isn't mere decoration here—it's impossible to imagine the jacket without it. Lovely lapel, too. Love the way the notch continues the line established by the collar points. The whole thing is a coherent Gestalt. Very thoughtfully constructed.

    Cheers,

    Ac

That was a great description of the jacket and actually put words on a few things I haven't managed to articulate myself (like placement if pockets vs buttons). It is ideed a really nice jacket and you can tell it's made by a really high-end bespoke tailor (but as I noted above not for me). I am really happy with it - this and the Donegal I wore earlier in the week (also a Cifonelli, made for the same original client) are, hands down, my two favourite jackets.

That's a nice jacket DonCologne. Lots of options for matching it with shirts and great choice on the pocket square.

My entry. Navy blue pants and camel jacket. Bonus points for overcoat? It's extremely cold and snowy in NYC this week hence the cardigan and boots.
