1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks for the votes and comments gents. It is an honour.

I must say, though, that a first place showing in a member's very first forum post is certainly epic and likely historic, so big props to @justkwan ! [IMG] It's like grasshopper snatching the pebble on his first try. [IMG]

I am quite content to yield the choice of the next challenge to my worthy co-victor - youth must have its day - rock on my good man.

Thank you to everyone here for making this such a memorable entrance to the SF community! And thanks for all the love towards my green jacket!

I guess I get to come up with the next challenge. I'll take a look at some of the recent challenges to be sure I don't repeat anything (thanks for the PM @RogerP and for letting me take the lead on the next challenge). However, do I just start a new thread? A little advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Congrats on a solid entry to SF. Once you pick a theme, one generally creates a new thread (clearly labelled) and links to it here so people subscribed to the old challenge thread who don't check the front page all the time can find it. Other places people post a link to Friday challenges include the What are you wearing thread and perhaps the Noodles Good Natured Advice Thread.

Maybe a "cashmere" theme. Or Spring? Or herringbone? The more contestants the more fun.

Thanks for the tips. Keep ideas coming for a new challenge, too! I bounced a few ideas off of Roger, he suggested I start the challenge this weekend for next Friday (the 19th) since we are already late in the week.
