FRIDAY CHALLENGE ENDING MAY 30 2014 ~ "Formal-Friday" aka the 'F#@k You Casual Friday!' Challenge

This isn't quite an FU Friday outfit, but more of a "gotta push the weekend back just a bit while meeting with clients" outfit. The tie is my linen bridge between more formal weekly silks and the casual-ness of the weekend. Cheers everyone.

I would definitely get those pants hemmed. Looks LONG!

Plus one on the pants. Suits are meant to be sleek across the body. I don't get the idea of it being tight to your body with nice curves, pressed and darted, then the pants looking like slinkys. Save that for jeans.

Looks good other than that, and I don't get the tie clip along with waist coat. Very redundant for that tie.. but it's definitely not goin' anywhere!

38R as others have said, the pants need a hemming. Aside from that and the tie bar already mentioned, looks good. You don't need to be showing ankles, I dislike that as well, but a bit shorter and that will make the look that much better. I very much like that hat.

Don - faultless formality; definite contender I'd say.  Although if I nit-pick, I find an asymmetric knot (four-in-hand here?) informal, your pocket flaps are tucked in, and your collar points could be longer. But it's borderline dickish to mention.  You look great.

4IH: Shush, mimo

Pockets: Besom is more formal (cf. zee tuxedo...)

Collar points: I'm not sure there's a formality index for the length of a turn-down collar

I didn't really attend a black tie event, I simply though it would be amusing to show up at my friends place wearing black tie simply because it's formal Friday.
