There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The newer model, very nice. It looks much better than the old SLK. What kind of engine?

That's usually with a solid suit though right? Or do you see guys also in a pinstripe suit and a shirt with a large check?

It isn't that the check is large, it's that it's bold in colour. Think Thomas Pink and T&A.

indeed i thought so, that is what it means in yiddish, which is what i was basing my translation off of, but i didnt see how "short" would be a good adjective for your car, so i took some liberty in my translation.

    dont be coy, TTO. :)

I've seen those, but I've seen large checks too. Large for shirts at least

I know I'm in the minority, but I disagree. Timo's fit turned me off because I felt like the gingham was a bit too casual for the pinstripe suit. I'm a big fan of Timo's fits usually, so I hope this won't seem too critical. I just thought that in this particular fit it didn't work.

It was a tremendously crowded field for stunning fits -- a difficult challenge seemed to raise everyone's game. And the range was quite impressive too. In the end, I voted Pliny and SeaJen, because I agree with PSG's assessment that Pliny's was the closest to the essence of Barbera. Not that I'm a scholar of Mr. Barbera, mind you. So maybe it's just that these two appealed most to me -- which, perhaps, isn't surprising since both weren't far off of mine (indeed, Pliny is almost the inverse of mine).

Great work, gents. And thanks to anyone who thumbed, commented or voted for me.

Following that exact tie on eBay right now, although not interested in the price he's asking.

I feel like the Jermyn Street explosion of color look is accompanied by some sort of stripe as often as a by a solid.

I tend to divert my eyes so others will have observed it more closely than I.

Yeah, that's a bit steep. Even with the expensive shipping, it would probably be cheaper to order it directly from Cappelli. It's a nice tie, but I think some light lining would help it knot and drape better.

Thanks for the info. That seller has relisted it at least once already. I'll probably just keep stalking it in case he gives up and drops the price.

Place is rife with it, NOBD.

That's the only possible explanation for my receiving such a paltry number of votes. I'm sure there has been some ballot theft going on*.

*either that or it's my shitty pictures, the many superior entries this week, or my general lack of SF social standing. But I prefer my theory. [IMG]
