That´s more or less the way I bestow my allegiance. But no top clubs these days have danish players ( at least in the line-up).. So right now my favourite team is Swansea managed by the only guy I´ve ever truly idolized...

It would be best if we could see the clothes on you, but I'll include you in the poll, and the voters can decide. I'm curious whether that many stripes together actually works, so a picture would be much appreciated!

Sometimes it's good to be Dutch. We always have quality players all over the place :).

Who's your all-time favourite Danish player? Mine is probably Laudrup (the older brother).

Don't get me started on the RVP move; I'm still a bit sour that he left us for Man U. Can't really blame him for moving, but I don't have to be fair/rational when it comes to sports!

Bergkamp, on the other hand, was an absolute legend. Leaving aside all the great goals he scored for Arsenal, that one against Argentina is, I think, one of the best of all-time. The cross to him was a bit awkward, but it had to be that way to get the ball beyond the defender, and Bergkamp's control was unbelievable. He'd played great all-year long for Arsenal in 1998, and seeing him score that goal in the world cup felt like a just reward for him. [IMG]

The best?
Better than MARCO VAN BASTEN?!?!?
Cruyff?
Rijkaard?
Gullitt?
Kluivert?

NO WAY

and yes RVP is better than him. (There... I said it)

Don't worry, GM - I won't hold you to being my yin :satisfied: . As it is, it was my late husband who was the sports fan, and the team portrayed in my entry was his favorite team (in lieu of his first favorite team, the NY Giants playing at the Polo Grounds - but that REALLY was a long time ago).

M laudrup is my favourite by a mile. I also have a soft spot for Dennis Rommedahl, something by friends ridicule me for.
And yes, Holland always have world class players. My favourite dutch player I guess is Ruud Gullitt.Mostly for his bullet header in the 88 final, and his ridiculous reggae r:)ecord

Exactly!
It was brilliant, wasn't it? The pass was a typical, "lazy-looking", long De Boer pass; a trademark of him, I guess. I made a, atypical for me, rather noisy sound when that one went in :). I have a dvd with Bergkamp's Arsenal goals. So beautiful. Watch and weep...
I have to admit that Cruijff is my all-time favourite. Van Basten was brilliant and had a better career. Bergkamp was obviously better than Rijkaard, Gullit, Kluivert (you kidding me?) and RVP. He taught RVP well, though. :)
