OK gentlemen. Here's the drill: show us a great outfit which includes some linen.

We are looking for pure linen here, not blends. Major component (jacket/pants/shirt) in linen is preferred, but a minor component (tie, pocket square etc) is OK as long as it's a key feature of the look.

Classic menswear is preferred, but streetwear is fine too as long as it has cut and style. Ties not mandated as linen is, by definition, a more casual fabric. However, the outfit must have been worn within the last seven days.

Apologies for the lateness in posting this challenge, but I'm travelling this week and fairly busy. Deadline is nevertheless 12 midnight, Eastern Daylight Time (GMT-7).

Here are a few images to inspire you. (I've massively indulged myself here by including one of my own.)

And this week's entries:

Here is it

As it happens, I intended to wear this linen sport coat today...

Linen jacket and trousers

Shirt: BB
Jacket: Local MTM
BT and PS: TH
Trousers: JAB
Shoes: AE
Belt: JA

Linen-silk-wool jacket
Linen pants
Linen square
Raw silk tie
Cotton underwear
Leather shoes
(or was it leather underwear and cotton shoes?)

Linen slacks and jacket.

And 'lintex' shoes:

linen trousers after 5h in a car

Jacket Rubinacci
Shirt Stenströms
Tie Altea
Pents made by Robin Pettersson in Tobacco brown linen

Had a lovely almost-birthday dinner tonight. Wearing a linen jacket and a linen pocket square. Cat is made of fluff, not linen.

I don't think I own a single all-linen item.

Well, go and buy one then. This thread wants your active participation!

Sorry. This Sunday, 12 midnight New York time. I would make it later, but that would put me in the middle of a 24 hour plane trip back to Sydney with questionable opportunities for internet access.

Well, I won't have time to get back home and change now. Will enjoy seeing contributions.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
