Hot on the heels of the Green Tie Challenge is this week's Friday challenge, the BTC (originally coordinated by @Cleav at the beginning of last year).

Is a brown tie one of your top 10 staples?

In this Brown Tie Challenge let's demonstrate, or otherwise, the versatility and range of any shade of brown tie.You will wear a suit, SC or odd-jacket combination and a tie of course (!) is obligatory.

Challenge details:

Submissions must be posted by 1700 AEST Saturday 27th February 2016. All submissions are to have been worn week beginning 22nd February 2016. The poll will go up directly on Saturday evening AEST and close on Monday 29th February 2016.

Great fits so far! I wish I had the time to use my DSLR. The coat is one of my first MTM pieces, and while it does fit okay, the button point is way too high, and does not help flatter my overall stature. My (iphone) submission:

Is a brown tie one of your top 10 staples?

No. In fact, the brown tie has come quite late into my life and we sometimes struggle to get along. But thanks to you guys I am learning to love it. My tie, from Mark Marengo, is a limited edition silk Grenadine Paisley in chocolate.
