Friday Challenge 20160408 - Herringbone

Show us your herringbone.

Rules,

Wear a herringbone pattern - Suit/SC/Tie/Trousers.

This is a CM challenge - jacket, trousers, tie and shoes has to be worn. PS and socks are optional.

Fit has be worn this week.

Poll will go up around noon on Saturday (Swedish time).

Some inspiration from the 25 + thread.

I will be busy the rest of the week so I start this challenge with my own entry.

SC - Summer "tweed" in a linen/silk/wool blend. PRL
Shirt - Kamakura
Tie - Grenadine tie - grossa from Cravats of London
Trousers - PRL Preston gabardine wool.
Shoes - Alden tassels

Mr. Knightley, I believe that the challenge minimum is one item of herringbone patterned attire, though all multiples of that would be welcomed, I am sure.

I've gone for the double-barreled approach - overcoat and suit.

I'm in, with a simple herringbone sport coat. Quite classical

I had the same idea as some others in picking a herringbone accessory or two:

Herringbone wool / silk tie and silk twill PS - Armani A/W 1983 / 84
Blazer and trousers - bespoke
Shirt and cufflinks - Hawes & Curtis
Herringbone OTC socks - Bresciani
Shoes - Barker 'Northcote'

Well, it dropped about 30 degrees in 2 days here in San Francisco, so I got to wear the new suit.

Suit, shirt, and braces by Beckett & Robb. Abraham Moon tweed (#18 in their Shetland book).

I'm not being stalked by a professional photographer like Stitches seems to be, but here's my humble auto-timer effort.

I just took delivery of a gorgeous new mid-brown herringbone tweed suit --- and of course it's going to be 80 degrees in San Francisco today. If the temperature drops I'm in

Again I have to object to the tie requirement, particularly if socks are optional. CM just doesn't mean the same thing in every industry, every culture and every part of the world.

I'd rather have the option to participate with my kick-ass herringbone suit, pocket square, etc. than to be disqualified entirely.

Please reconsider?
