My humble entry...sans tie and casual as can be.
Did your father actually knit this himself? From the picture it looks really well made. Something to wear in front of the fire a cold winter's day preferably with a good cognac nearby.
My father did actually knit the sweater himself, as my mother was making a crew-neck and a turtleneck version of an Irish fisherman sweater for myself and my brother at the same time. It is very warm - something to keep you warm on a cold, damp winter's evening.
While I'm sure I can beat neither the cardi-cat nor Gerry's orange, I'm happy to participate since there's no tie requirement.
Here's my entry, in shades and textures of blue.
Cox, I'm afraid your entry does not satisfy the rules of the challenge: "Wear a tailored jacket"
I fear @Cleav killed any suspense with this outfit.
I love cardigans. I should get extra points in this old man's competition. I was just diagnosed with inguinal hernia...
SC - Raffaele Caruso Sartoria Parma
Shirt - Kamakura
Tie - Drake's RAF blue cashmere
Cardigan - PRL navy blue cashmere
Trousers - Brown herringbone tweed by PRL. Very heavy and warm.
Shoes - Shell Marlows
Unlike @Anden (sorry about your hernia) I don't love cardigans. Of course, I am an old man and maybe I feel they just accentuate that...anyway in the spirit of the Challenge I got out this Viyella sleeveless cardi:
I truly believe that age has nothing to do with whether you look good in a garment or not. Neither does body type etc. it has more to do with the fit and how comfortable you look while wearing it. With that said, I think you wear the cardigan well @Mr Knightley. Although a slightly less padded/extended shoulder could have jived even better with this outfit IMHO.
