Show us how to wear a cardigan with a tailored jacket. This combination appeals to many, but seems to fall flat as often as it works. Here are some examples from three staunch cardigan aficianados:

The fine print: Wear a cardigan Wear a tailored jacket Wear a collared shirt Wear a tie (optional, but strongly encouraged) Outfits worn from 21 March through 1 April are eligible. I'll put up the poll on Saturday morning, US West Coast time. If you post after Friday night, but before the poll goes up, I will make a best effort to include your entry. THE ENTRIES I included everyone, noting non-compliant entries for those who care about the rules. I also made it multiple choice this time.

^ The garments look fine here, but this pose doesn't showcase them well.

    I'm also in.

Subscribed. My only cardigan is an Inis Meain pub jacket, so I'm not sure how that will work out, but if it looks good I may actually post a real fit for the first time in awhile.

Totally on board. Cardigan, like ball, is life.

And I do appreciate the grudging disclaimer in the fine print. For a lot of men -- due to our culture, or industry, or other factors -- neckties are just not part of our wardrobe. I'll accept the scoring hit for not wearing one in exchange for not having to go out and invest in any. (Besides, chest hair is the new necktie. :slayer:)

It occurs to me that rather than "cardigan aficionados" I should have called them "cardiganists".

    Damn.
