1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

There are some posters (not mentioning any names) who have shown themselves immune to critique. Folks get tired of beating their heads against the wall. Especially if they post irregularly, they don't typically present a constant enough irritation for someone to take them to task.

Name and shame, Suge, name and shame!

But seriously, I just got taken to task by Big P, and he likewise issued notice to Anden's pocket square and Cox's X-pattern bingo. It's all good and healthy.

but I will still wear my 'magic mint' pants. so perhaps I'm immune too [IMG]

This is not a contribution (though I wish it would have been). I haven't finished the sleeves or buttons/button holes yet, but thought it appropriate for a 1000th post & not totally inappropriate for this thread, since it's cotton. It's a DIY project I've been working on for some weeks. It's the first jacket I've ever tried making.

Sorry for going off track and bragging a bit, but I'm kinda proud of actually being able to make a jacket with no schooling or training.

Cheers all! I hope I'll have some time to finish it next week. I'm awaiting some silk gimp for button holes, so it depends on when I receive that.

    Sorry for derailing the thread.

Great progress EFV! I thought of making my own ties before and thought that ambitious, much respect to you! :slayer: I may be in on this one. Scored a cotton SC recently that I haven't unveiled yet.

I like to think I'm a stingy thumber, but I'll have days where I end up thumbing a quite a few fits. As far as your fits, you wear a lot of cotton pants, right? Clearly the wrong thread to announce this, but I dislike cotton pants (except jeans).

Though as punishment for bringing my perversions to ligh, I'm going to go find that nice casual fit of yours you recently posted and give it a good, hard thumb. Because Styleforum isn't gay at all.

    Lol, Clags.
In the warmer months it is more cotton, linen/cotton, and linen for me, yes. Mostly wool in the f/w, though.
