1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Both of my OCBD's aren't meant to be worn with ties (little to no roll, small collars). I may try to offest this by wearing it with the top button undone. Precedent was set by maomao's fit. We'll have to see how it looks with a smaller collar.

My entry for the Friday Challenge, one day early (my attire tomorrow should be much more elaborate than today's fit).

Thanks! It's a cheviot tweed; I'm pretty sure it's from Porter & Harding's Glenroyal book but I can't promise that my memory is accurate!

If stitchy were here, he could go ahead and close down this thread, it's over.

HF, start thinking about what you want the next challenge to be.

Ha, that's what some of you said about my fit in the recent purple challenge, and someone else put together a very neat look to win that one instead. Anyway, it's more fun when I don't have the work of coming up with a theme or running a poll, so I encourage a lot more entries from everyone!!

Is that the Luxire shirt? It looks good buttoned up.

^ Nope, one of my older ones. In fact, I think it might have been one of the last shirts I got from my previous shirtmaker. The Luxire is essentially identical in fit, however, except for the slightly different collar roll you noted, which should have been tweaked back to something a bit closer to this one in my current batch. Assuming FedEx get their act together enough to make a simple delivery(!), I should get those tomorrow, so will be able to confirm that the tweak is successful. Having said that, I still can't really get on board with wearing BDs done up with ties. They just feel so much better more casual, open-collar. But the theme insisted! :)

But I think you got me this time, Doc. Still, I'll be following your footsteps in a tweed suit. Gonna be a hot day, but the things we do for internet forums....

Close call between HF & TTO I'd say.

I have more conservative shirts, but they just make me look like I wore a button-down collar by accident. I think this looks like I did it on purpose. The tie is cotton, to go with the semi-casual tone.

I'd forgotten about Theo's fit when I called it for Holdfast. Now it's a coin toss.
