An early entry (the shirt is actually a true pink even though the photo makes it appear slightly more towards lilac):

To be honest, I was rather less than inspired. I posted upthread that I've become bored with pale pink shirts and today was a very good example of why. The shirt felt like a forced element; theoretically, it should work with the white jeans and brown jacket, and tie choice shouldn't then be too difficult. But in reality, it was a pain in the backside finding a tie that I remotely liked: any one of the colour, contrast and pattern alternately felt too strong or too weak. This was very much a "least worst" choice. Perhaps it's just a function of the other clothes I own, but I've found that there are lots of colours that I don't like with pink (or perhaps more accurately, would prefer against either white or blue or a mix of those). I actually find hot pinks easier to use, in tie-less looks.

Still, if I go out tomorrow, I might give it another go with a pink shirt that has some white in it; that tends to make it easier to pair.

I was going to enter a Challenge for the first time, but plans have changed and I'll be helping my brother in law moving house tomorrow. So just for the heck of it, I repost a fit from two weeks ago...

Some great fits so far gentlemen. My humble effort (Black C&J Drummond, CT pink end on end, Hober grenadine pin dot, medium grey Hemrajani suit). Picture quality is not so good sadly.

It might not qualify, but I feel this may be in the spirit of the thread.

After seeing % weigh in up thread, I'm not sure that I should bother. Oh well. Today in terrible photography:

AS: Pick one, and I'll put that in the poll.

Clag: Am I too assume that's a red/white stripe? If so, then no dice. Sorry.

    And, here's my effort.

I imagine my 2nd attempt may get me more votes, but I like the 1st attempt more, so use the 1st attempt. Short pants and all.

I originally build this fit: [IMG]
But I decided it was entirely too autumnal for such a sunny, hot summer day. So I went in a different direction: [IMG]
[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Etro CT slim non-iron Drakes cashmere Unknown raw silk hand rolled Trafalgar suede belt Isaia aquachino* Panthy wool blend Bally suede *Technically, following this picture, I changed the trou because I realized these don't fit me well, and I'll be parting with them soon. But what I did wear were Borrellis in the same color and material, so I feel like it counts.
    May it Please the Court.

Dammit if I can't work out how to take timed shots with this new camera - so no entry this week. Some nice fits already... and AAS, good choice, I prefer your first one.

I'm not really feelin' it, but since I went to the trouble to wear the rig I'll post it anyway. Facking flash making everything look shiny - it isn't really.

    le sigh, lol.
    ---

dewi - nice to see you post a fit. looks good.

roger - that fit looks spot on.

shugz - i like the colors, but i think you could use some suppression on that SC.

No doubt, but now that I don't work downtown anymore, getting to the tailor is a shlep. Plus, it has a single vent, and I haven't had a lot of luck with suppression on single-vent jackets. Still, what you say is true. :nodding:

Fit picture didn't turn out too hot but it doesn't matter since O/O wins.

I'm in the light, less impact pink camp. A subtle plaid suit with a less subtle corresponding plaid hanky. Cheers.
