Yes, another shirt challenge! The white shirt has been a staple in my wardrobe for as long as I can remember - and in yours, I expect.

So versatile and timeless.

I hope this Challenge will appeal to posters here on CM as well as the SW&D crowd. Please show us your white shirts - T-shirt, polo, casual half-sleeve shirt, business shirt, evening shirt or what you will - all welcome!

Can't think of anything more SF than presenting personal taste as rules. Manton wrote a book and has an impressive knowledge about classic menswear, but there is no literature or historical photo documentation that support these statements as rules. There are also a bunch of regional differences in the tradition of wearing suits that further muddy up the waters.

One of my favorite outfits--the white shirt in herringbone weave is from JCPenney. While a white shirt is a wardrobe staple, this is the only photo I can find where I'm wearing one.
