I'm going to disagree with everyone about Clags. Even Clags. Despite what he says I don't think he dresses particularly safe. He wears non staple colors, occasionally some interesting detailing, and I think I recall some patterned trousers. All while pulling it off really well, for the most part. Definitely one of the better dressers here, but safe? I don't think so.

Clags is like Bama.unlike most teams today he doesn't like to sling it around and sticks to a heavy run game and an all world defense. And he wins championships

Spoo is Oregon. All types of uniforms and trick plays in his arsenal

And we all know who SugarButch is like.

I'm very happy with a third place (so far), but I can't believe T1 didn't place higher.

Oooof, that bathroom lighting (even with it's great location, that apartment was so ******* old; I don't miss it).

Probably not what I would have chosen to represent me, but I suppose those are definitely "unsafe" by my standards. The first two are from challenges (I'm wearing two squares in the second one?!?). I remember being unhappy with the third, but looking at it now, I kind of like it. Given that all three you chose were linen, I wonder if that material causes me to be a bit less conservative. Regardless, that "edgy" for me is decidedly safer, those are probably more experiments than representative samples of how I do edgy.

I think this might be the subtly "edgy" for me (again, all linen):

I do love me some pattern pants. With winter coming, they'll be getting a lot more wear. And I like to think I'm safe without being overly conservative, so I'm glad it's been noticed.

I'm also surprised Tira's fit didn't get more love. I pinned just two fits from this challenge, and Tira's was one of them. (EFV's suit was pinned already from the first time he posted it).

A lot of strong entries but I believe Spoo and Tirailleur presented the best cases for formal and casual use of DB. B.Bear was good but his shirt collar killed the look. But great fits all around.

I was wearing a tie before those were taken but it was so hot I took it off :(

Many thanks for everyone that voted for me! I'm quite surprised to say the least.

clags, every last one of those fits falls squarely in the safe zone. i mean that in no negative way at all. on the contrary, its a good thing. but those are all safe looks.

spoo still running away with it.

Nope!

ETA: Let me explain. Safe, to me, is something anyone would feel comfortable wearing to a meeting, to fit in, or to generally look good without leaping out of the bounds of what their fellows would wear. This, by implication, means that you would choose colors and patterns that are known to go well together and that do not attract "look at me" kind of attention. This is not what those fits are. They are unusual for the workplace, sometimes mix colors you wouldn't normally see, and still look good. Not safe. Maybe not as daring as some, but not safe by a long shot.
