I'll include it in the poll as long as it's not too pink.

@in stitches -- I feel pretty terrible. I received a pretty convincing argument against the idea of aesthetic context; the one reservation was that I wouldn't get to see you coordinate with your daughter. [IMG]

i had a gorgeous purple grenadine grossa by sartorio. and i gave it to my brother about a month ago. i have another purple tie with small pin dots, but its nothing spectacular. im leaning towards sitting this one out.

site note, i will not vote for anyone wearing a tie that leans towards burgundy, or a very dark plum. no weaksauce cop outs please.

My only purple tie is a beautiful wool in "eggplant". If only this contest was during cooler weather, I would participate.

Do you not have a lighter colored tie and a magic marker?

    But where is the line
    Where blue
    Becomes purple?

The beauty of democracy is that it liberates authority from moral responsibility.

Now I'm sort of curious whether someone who posts something clearly not purple would garner any votes.

I've got like six active socks (JapanAlex, Pranav Gautam, etc. etc.] so I'm looking at seven votes right there.

Which, I believe, would have put me ahead of mrjester last week.

I shot a cowboy action match the other day in which I won first place. No shame in the fact that I was the only one shooting in my category that day [IMG]. In an empty field, you gotta play to win.

That's darn close to burgundy in my book, but you're the judge.....

The good thing is I've only got one, so that makes it an easy choice. The bad thing is that it is my only jacquard tie.... :fu:

I have a purple tie, but if IIRC, no one here likes it...
