I have no crazy shoes. Almost bought a pair of blue suede tassel loafers today, but changed my mind. Don't know if that would have qualified.

Get some blue suede Belgians. You won't regret it. The ones at ASW are great, but especially in Spain if you look around you should be able to find something comparable for less.

I'd suggest anything that's not black, brown, or oxblood calf or cordovan, and any suede that's not brown or black, should count. Also no white bucks.

That's kind of what I was thinking, though of course Tril should have final say as the challenge-setter. But this approach would neatly fold all exotics into the challenge, even in otherwise conservative colours/styles, which should broaden the range of entries nicely.

Sad to have to sit this one out (no crazy shoes), but looking forward to seeing what people come up with.

Actually, I think I would have bought the loafers if I could have tried them on. But I was sockless. Felt that was a bit unhygienic. But I really liked them - looked very casual European.
Who knows, just maybe...

If I don't get them, I could always wear a pinstripe suit with my hiking boots.
