Friction Damage

Apologies if this is a topic that's already been covered, but I have been unable to find an answer.

I have a suit that's a Super 110's, 100% with VBC cloth. After a lot of wear, I'm starting to see some discoloration and minor sheen on my right elbow. I know areas like elbows and knees experience more friction than anything else.

Is there anything that can be done to the wool to minimize this effect or get it back to its original appearance?

Try a little distilled white vinegar, cut 50/50 with water, misted on. Use a pressing cloth over the fabric and iron on low, with no steam. That may help a little, but probably not. Sometimes it works to take the shine off of fabrics that have been caused from a garment being improperly ironed.
