Fresco Fabric: A Hot-Weather Fabric, But Only Available In Dark Colors/Patterns?

Hello,

Was hoping to get something in fresco and spare myself some agony this coming summer. I took a peek at the websites of J&J Minnis and H&S. Apart from the PoW check and something bronzey, all the swatches were incredibly dark, though; I was hoping for something more casual and brighter, and unprofessional, like what you see in some of H&S's other collections, with names like, "Peacock III," et. al.

Are there any sources for fresco fabrics in bolder colors and patterns - or even for RTW/MTM fresco garments? Or must I go with linen or seersucker and sacrifice durability?

Thanks.

I've never seen bold fresco patterns. There are some more interesting colors in Smith's Finmeresco book.

The London Lounge has commissioned a "superior" version of Fresco...including a navy stripe and a grey stripe. The LL forums are down right now but in a day or so, you can check under their limited editions forums.

A new project named Mistral will explore a slightly heavier version...but only in solid colors...to satisfy folks like FNB...who asked, but were refused entry into the sacred halls of Michael Alden's London Lounge

What is this supposed to mean? I like striped suits.

Also, apparently Nordstrom is now selling "Fresco Cloth" trousers. Does anyone know if it's "real" fresco or just a regular tropical hopsack?
