Oh, that's good. I don't think even T&A pre-washes/shrinks, they tell you to take the first shirt home and wash it 4 times.

I've used Turnbull in NY. They are not in the same stratosphere as Charvet.

Dirnelli, I'm curious: what's a tailor gotta do in France to receive the Ordre National du Merite medal?

I wonder if Charvet can make a duck for a monogram on my demi-mesure shirts.:rimshot:

The fabric for the demi-mesure is also pre-shrunk IIRC.

Anyone made shirts with Mary Frittolini recently? She doesn't have her own place but will meet clients at Scavini.

Its rare enough in the trade and why I do it myself and go the CMT route. That said you're dependent then on the interlining [if floating] to shrink only minimally. Anyway you do what you can.

Given the recent find list of tailors from Dirnelli do we have any updates on shirtmakers in Paris or has the list remained static?

I have a few shirts from Maria Frittolini and the shirts are impressive both in terms if cut and workmanship. She is very easy to work with and extremely flexible.

What little I've seen of her work looks impressive. I've an appointment with her the next time I'm in Paris. She appears willing to make the trial shirt and have a fitting the week I'm there.

if I remember correctly, depending on the fabric and how much hand work you want, from 250 euros up to 300+

If the fit is down and consistent then that's decent.

Mactire, if you check out Frittolini's site, I believe there are some pricing guidelines there not that Levantine is incorrect.

I thought someone on SF was going to Frittolini for the first time, recently, but that might have been from off SF.

Poorsod will divulge whenever his appointment comes off, I'm sure.
