    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

French sunglasses of the 50s

    Hello
    I am collecting sunglasses made in France during the 50s. A vintage poster can be seen in

    The brand name is SOL AMOR but there are also other brands. I believe these companies no longer exist.
    Here are a couple of examples;

    I read somewhere that these were the french answer to the RayBan Aviator sunglasses and french airline pilots actually wore them.
    Anyway, perhaps they were immortalised by the character 'colonel Mathieu', the french paratrooper in the 'Battle of Algiers'

    Also, Johnny Depp was supposed to wear a pair in 'the Rhum diaries'.
    I am eager to learn more about these sunglasses so any info is welcome.
