Generally, my favorites are the waffle cut fries with seasoning on them, fried in such a way as to have the outside nice and crispy and the inside still soft.

Second, normal cut fries, again, fried so the outside is crispy and the inside still soft.

Ketchup and chile sauce are proper condiments.

That's a new one...I've never heard of anyone putting Thousand Islands on fries. But I'll probably give it a try someday -- I've tried fries with ranch dressing and with blue cheese dressing, and they were both OK.

Fucking Chicagoans, just cause they make something in Chicago, doesn't mean "Chicago" automatically belongs in its name.

Don't lump us all in w/ the culinary Antichrist.

Anyway, I like fries. Regular fries are okay. Duck fat fries are awesome. I like mine with some garlic aioli or truffled cream. Nom nom nom!
Anyone else ever put fries on their burger? I do it sometimes. At home, at least. It's good.

Dude, you would love the grease trucks at Rutgers University here in Jersey. The "Fat Darrell" was voted America's best sandwich by Maxim magazine. It consists of chicken fingers, marinara sauce, mozzerelle sticks, and french fries on an Italian roll. There is also my personal favorite, the "fat cat", which is two burger patties, lettuce, tomato, mayo, cheese, and fries on an Italian roll.

    Here's the fat cat:

What makes them "Chicago" cheese fries, as opposed to the regular cheese fries that every diner in Jersey and every little stand on the boardwalk from sandy hook to cape may serves?

The artery-clogging unhealthiness of it makes it Chicagoan.

That looks absolutely disgusting, but I bet it tastes splooge-worthy.
Fat Darrell sounds good without the marinara. I hate most marinara sauces i have.

The whole idea behind the fat sandwiches is that they are an entire meal in one sandwich for a very cheap price (most of them are about $5). They were amazing back in the day when I was studying for a final with my (now) wife, who attended Rutgers or after a night of partying.
