Looking to hear firsthand experiences with FSC and Billy Reid MTM programs. Specifically customer service and overall satisfaction with the process and garment. Feel free to PM as well.

I have seen 2 different suits from FSC - if I were you, I would save my $$$ and go to a real tailor like Ercole.

+1 Or if you are going for that look try David Reeves, I believe some of his stuff is constructed at the same shop as Freeman's. David is actually a tailor too, not just a stylist that attempts to pin up a jacket for you.

I wasn't familiar with David Reeves, thanks. I am going for a different "look" than my normal office suits which are mostly Paul Stuart/Southwick. My understanding is that FSC uses Greenfield and BR uses Ciccarelli and that both make a fine suit. Anyone have experience with the FSC or BR MTM programs willing to share their experience?

I'm going to tell you on here that there are probably close to zero people on here who have had experience with either. FSC & Reeves use Greenfield, but David also offers a handmade option that I believe is made by another tailor and himself. I just wouldn't bother with anybody who doesn't know how to make a suit. Those "brands" your measurements are taken by sales associates and sent to a factory. So much room for error. I personally like being able to talk to the person who is actually cutting my pattern.

If you're interested in the American look, have you looked into Paul Winston? It's at the top of my MTM suit list when I have the money+time.

Big A had a couple of Freeman MTM suits. I'd suggest contacting him.

I wouldn't compare Winston's House Style with FSC.
FSC is a bit of a caricature of the old Ivy look.
Winston Tailors has Ivy roots but they made side-vented,
nipped waisted, natural shoulder jackets for me 25 years ago.
WT covers a wide spectrum within the trad style.
WT also gets fabrics you don't see every where, like 32 oz
    Melton for coats.

I own a Freemans mtm. They also do full custom in-house now. I know everyone hates them, but they made the best suit I own. Have also been to Greenfield and they are Martin's favorite label he produces. I would just go to both and decide?

Thank you for the endorsement PB. Just as an update our mid range suit is now in fact made by Ciccarelli not Greenfield.

Why do you think everyone hates FSC?

Visited FSC store in both SF and NY. They offer quality suits though the price is a bit steep. I like FSC cut compared to Billy Reid.
Personal preference but if money is not a factor here and the option is between BR or FSC I would suggest to go to FSC.
