I have a pair of black Churches' Custom Grade used black monk straps. They are in decent shape and are free. The problem is that they are too small for me. I am an 8 and I think they are a 7.5. They are your's for free. The only caveat is you need to either pick them up in Manhattan or pay for shipping. Please pm me. If no interest by next Tuesday, they go to Goodwill.

I'm potentially interested. What's the british size, 6.5 or 7?

Two things:

1. Size not marked. However, I am an 8D in American sizing and they are tight on me. I am guessing 7.5 US.

2. Sorry, no photos.

Oh yes, just in case I had been insufficently clear, they are not new, some wear. But, free.

Hi Marc,

I´m a US 7.5, so I think they´d fit me. I´ll be in Manhattan in a couple of weeks (Aug 11-14) and I´ll be staying at the Sofitel (midtown, 45 W 44th ). Ironically, I had a pair of trusty Church´s that vanished during a move.

Sounds like UK 7; they are proabably too big for me.

Cheers for the free stuff, not that they'd fit me but I'm saluting the gesture.

I am upping the ante. I have added a pair of 8D Johnston and Murphy (possibly Aristocraft, possibly not) black captoe monkstraps to the mix.

Same deal, used and free, with no photos.

In case you all are wondering, I live in NYC, I cannot stop buying shoes. The only solution has become to thin the herd. For some reason, when herd thinning time comes, the black shoes always step to the front of the line, while the brown Mantelassis cower in the back hoping to be overlooked. A rather successful strategy to date.

My PM must be shot because I have not received anything.
Hi Marc,

I´m interested (in both pairs), and it so happens that I´ll be arriving in Manhattan on Aug. 10 for a few days.

Not to look a gift horse (gift shoe?!) in the mouth, but could I ask you to drop them off at the Sofitel (45 W. 44th)? If I were alone, I´d gladly catch a cab to find you, but I´ll be with my wife/parents and don´t know how to explain my USAD (used shoe acquisition disorder), and how I´m off to meet a stranger to pick up a couple of pairs of used shoes.

Got it. Yours is one of several. I am posting measurements on the shoes below:

Churches - 11 3/8" x 4" (2 5/8" at waist) The sole does not overlap the shoe hardly at all.

J&M - 11 1/2" x 4 1/8" (2 6/8" at wait) The sole seems to extend past the shoe about 1/8 ".
