Just curious what others are using ( or if they use ) any kind of display for their cologne or aftershave?

I have this old wooden two shelf thing that is starting to fall apart after about 10 years. And I'm thinking of trying to find something a little nicer to replace it with. But without knowing much about what is commonly used, I wouldn't know where to start.

I don't have a medicine cabinet and I like having them out and within reach.

I'm hoping others would share pics or ideas as to a nice display for something in this or a slightly bigger size.

Wine cooler. Not a huge one, but one of those smaller 12 bottle jobbies.

I've heard of folks keeping them in the fridge for longevity. But no thanks.

I was sort of joking; a wine cooler is def. not for the casual spritzer.

Get a couple of bottles of something that hasn't been produced since 1952 though... Anyway, regardless of what you use, it's not a good idea to keep them in the bathroom. Temperature variations, heat, and light are the worst things for fragrances. In a drawer or in a closet... where it's relatively dry and cool... is best.

As an amateur collector myself, that is amazing my friend. Right now I don't have a central location for mine. Some I do keep in the fridge, but I also have this (and don't laugh) pottery plate with the word "love" on it that my ex made me. I keep a number of bottles sitting on that, which in turn sits on my dresser.

But yeah, I need to upgrade too, because what is the next girl going to say about that?!

I have no direct light that even gets anywhere near my bathroom and the temps this close to the Pacific Ocean never alter much, between 60-74 degrees, so that's not much of a concern.

You obviously know your own bathroom better than me, I'm just offering the info in general for other members who might be reading.

It's sort of like the rec to everybody to use shoe-trees. Anyway, the problem with a bathroom (in general) is that it is small and confined and showering, bright lights, etc. generally affect or change the temperature a lot more than other rooms in your house. As well, it is often much more humid than the other rooms, too. You've also got a fair number of fresh/citrus-y scents, which are usually the notes that will turn or dissipate first in a fragrance that heads south.

I never thought of cologne as something one would keep on display. I only have two though and they just sit on top of my dresser.
