My bottle of Dior Homme is running low, and to be honest, I've never really bought fragrances for myself without the advice of someone present (usually current girlfriend).

I'm a regular down Jermyn Street, but it's embarrassing to say that there are still shops on there that I'm afraid to go in such as Floris or John Lobb (Mainly because i had no need to go in / don't wear Lobb's).

I was wondering if anybody could help me out with some advice about Floris and choosing a new fragrance before i go in, I know an awful lot sartorially, but next to nothing about this new acquisition!

If you email them (found on their website), they will mail you samples. It's hard to recommend something because sense of smell is so different from person to person. I have and love Floris Elite, others not so much.

Floris is good, but Penhaligon's is better. I dunno if they have a Jermyn St shop, but they'll be in London somewhere.

Truefuitt and Hill is also on Jermyn St and you can get cologne samples there too. (I would also suggest Taylor of Old Bond St ... I believe now on Jermyn ... but dunno if they 'do' samples.)
