From 2010 to last month, I used a Caran d'Ache Ecridor with a chevron pattern for almost all of my writing, then I somehow lost it. I had hoped to delay replacing it until next year, but I hated writing with ballpoint pens even worse than I had anticipated, so I surrendered and ordered an Esterbrook Estie in black with gold trim that was delivered today. I write by hand quite often, so I am very happy to have a good instrument for doing so again. (I'm unusued to a screw cap, so I still catch myself trying to yank the cap off, but I'll acclimate to it and I think that I'll ultimatley come to like that feature)

I originally had only one pen because my fiscal resources were rather thinner back then, but making sure that I always had the same pen everywhere was sometimes a bother, so perhaps I'll eventually add more to my inventory to allow for a little 'division of labor', but for now, this will have to be an all-purpose workhorse.

Just a few Pelikans and some things I found on eBay. Nothing really fancy. I tend to lose pens.

I'll post and come back and update with a photo.

here's a new one i got from my scavenging hunt from the surplus stores... and i specifically segregated this because i think it's a good find... first few pictures there are some tarnishing due to storage but i have polished it with toothpaste and silver cloth to retain the silver metal that it is!

i have this posted on local selling sites we have here my end... but i still am thinking.... if a good buyer comes along and will not lowball me, i might... the info about the mechanical pen can be found here

STERLING SILVER 925
The new Diplomat Victorian Pencil by Yard-O-Led is based on the British pen maker's original Diplomat propelling pencil - an ever-popular design which has remained unchanged since 1934. The new model features an intricate Victorian-style hand-chased finish on the six-sided barrel that is handcrafted in solid 925 sterling silver

I have a beautiful sterling Yard-o-Led. It's massive, heavy, and commands attention. Frankly, I can't imagine penning letters with it any longer (I used to) given my love affair with my much lighter Pelikan. However, this post inspired me to get it out. When I polish it up I'll post pictures. FYI, I had the nib "Binderized" back when Richard did such things. That alone makes this pen even more unique than it otherwise is.

For those curious who "presented" this pen, here's the fellow.
