They look great. Did you size down a half size based on your US size?
Thanks. How is the fit, materials and finishing compared to other brands you wear?Sized down 1
How is the market saturated? How many EG clients would switch to FS looking for leather toe stiffeners when they have a wider range of models, lasts and leathers at EG where they already know their size?
Imo FS entered into an already saturated market where brand reputation is the selling point.
Jeffrey West 1987 and Oliver Sweeney. How many English shoe brands have emerged after 1980?

I have been wathching these, but typically use 10.5 rather than 10 - unsure how "rounded" the 05 last is? I am 10.5 Carmina Rain and TLB whereas I use 45/45.5 in Vass F/U last. Have a number of old Church's and Cheaney shoes from my days working in the City some 15-20 years back, but unsure what last. £658.33 is a good price, but only if they fit and all cobblers are closed in my hometown due to covid-19Somebody should buy this:
Thornham - Foster & Son

Say compared to the EG Malvern and G&G Rothschild, I'd take this any day of the week, especially when you consider the discount. I really wish they were my size.
Dover < Keble. Don't @ meAnd then either the EG Dover or the Foster Keble. No red undertones in the shoes! Conservative last. Square waist. No crazy internet menswear details. Just tasteful. The lack of red undertones allows you to easily wear these with the outfit above.
Execution of the EG split toe seams still seems more consistently great than other makers IMO.Dover < Keble. Don't @ me
The last is perfect. But don't buy it if you typically wear a 10.5, especially if you also wear a 45 in Vass. They'll be too small, possibly by a full size IMO.I have been wathching these, but typically use 10.5 rather than 10 - unsure how "rounded" the 05 last is? Many thanks - saved me a few bob there! The last is perfect. But don't buy it if you typically wear a 10.5, especially if you also wear a 45 in Vass. They'll be too small, possibly by a full size IMO.

Sounds like at 50 % off the shoes are a steal.Fit EG 82 last fits my feet better than F&S. Materials and finishing I'd put in the top tier of British RTW (around EG, a bit below G&G depending on how much you value the finishing) but without putting more wear on them it's hard to say.
I think a width is equivalent to a full size in length. i.e. that would be the equivalent of a 8.5E. Could work based off my experience with some other brands.I have a 9UK with C&J, what do you think about a 9.5UK in D fitting (narrower?)
