That's what I thought when I had spent several hours on the Wiki and you (along with 99.99% of the others) didn't feel like dignifying that with but a miniscule comment. Now that I took away what is mine you go "wow"? I guess I'm "overreacting" when I call this behavior hypocritical, right? Pfft!
As I said, I never read your mirror shine article; I haven't really been paying attention to the wiki, nor had I read this thread since you posted the article. This childishness is utterly unreal to me. As Dan said, if you have some need to be the star of the show, this isn't the place for you.

Now Dan, I am removing Sysdoc's article from your post by his request.

By the way Sysdoc, thanks for writing it - I hear that people enjoyed it and found it informative.

I have written a new short mirror shine guide here: http://styleforum.pbwiki.com/MirrorShine Please check it for language errors (English is not my first language) and please do update it if you think that I made a mistake somewhere in the guide.

Let's drop this sysdoc issue now and go back to being constructive! [IMG]

Is there a limit to how many images we can upload? I think all photos from ImageShack should be moved to the wiki server as ImageShack is not always reliable.

I started up a Jantzen page. Any one photos of completed shirts, please contribute to the Fabrics section.

    Hey,

I really like that we have a wiki now and I think it has a lot of potential. (In fact, I think that I was the first to suggest it, about two months ago.)

    A couple of thoughts:

Should we make the wiki not appear in search engines? This might make members more likely to contribute.

I am not familiar with the different types of wiki software, but are we sure that this is the best (free) available? My school has a wiki that seems to have many more features than this one, although I am not sure if it was free. It would be especially nice to have a page history thing. I can't seem to find it.

I'm emailing my school to see what software they are using, and if it was free.

OK just heard back and they use MediaWiki,

    http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki

This is free but I guess the problem is that it has to be hosted separately. Given that we aren't sure how popular the Wiki is going to be, this is probably too big of a risk.

What do you mean by page history? You can view the history of edits for any of the pages.

One of the criteria beyond free was the ability to partially control posting to the wiki. We didn't want it inundated with spammers or irrelevant content, hence the password posted at the top of this thread.

Oh, that's what I meant. I see it now.

Nice. I added CMT prices. I was thinking of adding a section on tailors worldwide but I'll probably need to ask permission of a few posters first.

Excellent. The wiki has a TON of potential...I'd love to look into the future and see it a year from now.

can you define CMT on the wiki? is that when they already have your measurements?

i'd like to get a chan made in the next year or two and the wiki is incredibly helpful [IMG]
