According to Wikipedia, the Campari Group owns 45% of global liquor brands by sales. They could probably afford to sponsor the podium again if they wanted to.
It's one of the most important products on Earth...

Yes the group has the money now (theoretically i dont know their balance sheet) because the industry consolidated but they almost assuredly would not put cynar up on the podium.

This is why you will never be a captain of industry, Ed. No vision.

It’s kind or weird without a Gulf logo in the right place, but it’s nice

V cool. We knew this was coming when Macca and Gulf Oil renewed their partnership last year. I’ll be wanting that car in 1:18 scale please.

(I took a peek at their online store and it’s only apparel rn)

Race week in Monaco. I may have to settle for Miami next year but one of these days I'll get to Monaco.

I've mentioned this before but I was in Monaco for work a few years ago and was talking to the manager of the Fairmont. One side of the building faces the see one side faces the Fairmont Curve.

51 weeks a year, everyone wants to face the sea. For that one week, every room is booked, years out, for the entire week and it was something like a 20,000 Euro minimum but I could be forgetting how high it was.

Very similar to your Monaco story...
My insurance agent used to have his office in a historic building overlooking Long Beach harbor.
From his window you could watch the Long Beach Grand Prix.
I could watch the kids ride up on skateboards, and the drunks serpentine their way up the harbor in their rental electric Duffy boats for a looksie.
Very Monaco-esque.

I'll attend the Monaco GP one I have [free] access to a boat or someone's home overlooking the race. Otherwise, no thanks since there are better races to attend with a grandstand/general admission ticket.

I've always heard that Monaco is actually pretty good in person because you're so close to the track compared to the other GP's. On TV though, it's a snoozefest except for Saturday qualifying.
