Pretty much all of the drivers become Mercedes ambassadors afterwards but Lewis should take up the Niki Lauda role on the team after he retires.

I reckon Hamilton when he retires wouldn't want a role similar to Lauda.

He would be partying and living the high life. Does he have a missus now?

I think you're being too hard on him. After all, he literally finished 18th in Formula 2. If that doesn't justify a bump up to an F1 seat, I don't know what else possibly could have qualified him.
