I still hold out hope for Russell in a Merc. If not him, Hulk gets my vote.

If Russell gets the shot, it would be a high-risk/high-reward situation. Expectations will be lowered, of course, but if he doesn't get on the podium, it will gas up the Russell doubters. If he doesn't match Bottas, it will be the same. Both would be unfair, but I guess only he knows if the chance to shine is worth the risk.

If Mercedes were still trying to secure the WCC, my bet would be on Hulkenberg, but since it means almost nothing to them other than pride, I could see it going to Russell or Vandoorne.
