Great race, some solid defending from Ricciardo and Albon toward the end. Great drive from Perez, shame about the last lap. He's showing the weakness of Stroll; one goes from 17 to 6 and the other 12 to 7. Stroll struggles to get past Ricciardo where Perez walked right by.

Also: Albon is in the Gasly zone. If he had been closer to Bottas, Max probably would have gotten second place.

Seriously! After Max pit and came out, Albon was still nowhere close to Max. Horner said they were on different strategies shortly after Max pitted but what strategy has your 2nd driver a full pit stop plus 10 seconds behind your main driver.

Also also: The FIA need to rethink their approach to clashes between teammates. If Lewis' contact with Albon merited a penalty, then Leclerc's mauling of Vettel certainly does. And what of Ricciardo's being pushed wide at T4? If he hadn't backed out, that would have been contact. They seem overly concerned with the consequences of the action and not the action itself.

And, speaking of Renault, what the **** is this bullshit? Make a better car and STFU: https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/150536/renault-lodges-protest-against-racing-point-cars

Seems particularly petty after your driver finished just behind two of the alleged violating cars.

Definitely. He seems inconsequential for RB these days. Max needs backup. The Vettel to RB rumors keep swirling and, while I don't think he's the right driver to pair with Max, RB needs to switch things up.

Also: disappointing day for Russel.

As much as Ferrari is a **** show right now, hard to overlook that history. The Lineage of Teams on the Current Grid, traced back to their earliest point and the WCC they've won along the way. (In Order of Oldest to Newest)

Vettel to Racing Point/Aston Martin?!

Perez has a contract until 2022 and rich Stroll is now part of a consortium.

It sounds like its a pretty done deal. It would be great to see Seb reinvigorated by a new team, hopefully a competitive one. His last couple years at Ferrari have been frustrating so it seems. That leaves the question of who is the teammate...I would hate to see Perez go but that seems the obvious scenario.

Sounds like it.

Perez or Stroll out though?

Vettel and Perez is a solid line up.

Given Stroll's dad owns the team...it seems like Perez is on his way. He's got a signed contract but apparently they have an out as long as they can sign Seb before July 31. Agreed on Vettel/Perez but it's highly unlikely.

Perez would be great in Albon's seat, but that's a bit far-fetched.

In a way as mentioned in the video, Lawrence Stroll is a part of the consortium so I believe it is up to the consortium to make the decision and not just Lawrence about his son.

From a profit point of view, Vettel and Perez (with his sponsorship deals) is the best option for the team as a whole.

Lance needs to beat Checo this year. I strongly doubt he will.
