Of the things you mention, only the Singapore incident might be cheating. His involvement in the Ferrari/Macca thing was at a minor level. The other stuff is just hardball intra-team politics, on and off track.

I don't like the guy and hated his behavior when he was at McLaren, but calling him a cheat seems a bit strong.

Schumi must really be regretting his punting of Senna in Spain...

No kidding. It was a brilliant lap.

Best overall qualifying for F1 this year by a mile. Can you believe how close everyone is? At one point in Q2 the top ten we separate by .4 seconds.

Brundle is a great commentator. Miss him on the BBC feed. Had 2 or 3 chances to see the GP there but never did.

    alonso is a biotch

the spygate thing was all him, and probably a set-up by ferrari
he got the info from a contact
he went and told dennis he had the info, right then dennis called mosley and told him, and put alonso on the phone
alonso said he was making it up
a bit later alonso went to mosley, said he had the stuff, cut a deal, and blamed dennis
he gets off scott free...he's no good

the report is interesting, fia website

On the morning of the race (August 5), Alonso met Ron Dennis in his motorhome and allegedly threatened to send his email exchanges with McLaren test driver Pedro de la Rosa and Coughlan to the FIA. According to Max Mosley, Ron Dennis informed him of the conversation and told Mosley that the threat was an empty one, "There’s no information, there’s nothing to come out; I can assure you that if there was something, Max, I would have told you.” Mosley subsequently retracted the implication that Dennis had lied.

big set up by alonso, little jealous biotch, was afraid of hamilton, couldn't beat him on the track

it was great to see alonso handily beat, straight up, by a less experienced driver, in a lessor car, from a much smaller budgeted team

He definitely out raced him, and should have been World Champion had McLaren not fucked him up. Note also that it was Hamilton's first season in F1 too, and he was teamed with a double world champ in Alonso.

    Both won 4 races
    Hamilton had 6 poles to Alonso's 2
    Even on points with 109

Alonso and Ferrari are made for each other.

    6 races, 6 winners

In truth it was a close race, but not a very good race. Not a single pass that I can recall.

It got pretty exciting there at the end. I have to think if Alonso, Vettel, or Hamilton had been behind Webber when the rain started, there would have been at least an attempt to pass for the lead.

I thought it was a good race, close, but not much passing
better than the run aways last year
and the fact we have 6 winners in 6 races, and tight points is great

I'll be at the next one, I'm ready to go now! but got to work this week

    Montreal?

I've been to that race 4 times.

Last year's race was one of the best I've ever seen. Wish I was there.

yepper, been going >15 years now, this might be 17(?) need to check stubs or my pin collection
last year was great, 4+ hours, long rain delays, pouring and blowing wind/rain!
toughed it out, like a woodstock for speedfreaks, lol
Button on the last lap, an inspired drive

the city is great, and becomes one large F1 party
saw a good exhibit on Miles Davis
the subway system is excellent, park the car and use it, fast, cheap and efficient
we usually stop somewhere on the way up: Cooperstown, Lake Placid, etc., not sure where this year
we stay in a B&B right across from Beri-UQAM, 5 minute walk to the subway, 5 minute no stop ride to the Isle, 10 minute walk to our seats at the hairpin

if they pull the NJ GP off I'll be there, couple it with Montreal hopefully

Been to Montreal for a race once and had a blast. But unless bombed out of my mind, I'd loathe to be at a wet grand prix
