1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

The context was that he had requested to come in. The impression left by the broadcast was that he blamed the team for not calling him in for his stop on the previous lap. If the team are going to let the two race, then they need to let each driver use whatever advantage he can take. Just like the prohibition on using a richer fuel setting to catch/hold off the other, I think this approach will only make the tension worse. If you let the guy in front have pitstop preference at Monaco, it's not even a race. It's not like anyone is even close to them in the championship.

If you were the team principal, would you really let Lewis dictate strategy considering there was not even a SC announcement? I understand sometimes the driver wants to take a risk, but if that risk backfired wouldn't you be the donkey letting him tell you what to do after he landed in 9th place in Monaco of all places? No way. As team principal, I would have done everything in my power to ensure my 2 cars remained 1-2, fuck who was in 2nd.

this is gonna be a great season. I can imagine utter chaos between Lewis and Nico by the time its July. Regardless of whether the Monaco incident was purposefull or not (if it was a mistake, I'd be too embarrassed to be as celebratory as Nico was on Saturday), I'm rooting for Rosberg because he wasn't whining on the radio and moping as much as Lewis does.

Pit strategy is not solely dictated by the pit wall. Besides, my intuition is that it was more about not letting the driver in 2nd place get a jump with a better pit call.

We can't know that. In the end, it was a team call. They said no.

Not to belabor the point, but you can't really prove your position, either. I'm comfortable with our differing opinions. Now, if only you would accept that Alonso is a dastardly genius... :)

I was saying the same thing... no way to know. Alonso is certainly dastardly, and perhaps a genius. Regardless, I will never like him.

Well, that was unexpected. Good day for Williams, too.

Great race! Was hoping for a great result for Force India and Williams. Wonder what caused Massa's running into Perez.

Perez moved over, probably because he wanted to go to the inside of the backmarker into Turn 1. He was penalized after the race.

Hamilton has shitty luck. But not as shitty as Massa.

I haven't seen the race. Was Ricciardo close to the Mercedes duo before they hit engines' trouble?

Thank you sugarbutch. Do you know if the Merc's problem was the same as Williams in Montecarlo?
What is going on with Ferrari? Lucky to finish in the top ten
