Formal Event Advice Needed

I am going to a black tie fundraiser gala. The theme is "The Orient Express," and the dress is festive black tie. I have been told that it is a very fun event. I will be wearing my black, one button, notch lapel tuxedo but am trying to decide on the rest of my attire. Vest or cummerbund, long tie or bow tie, color, etc. Any suggestions? Obviously I want to dress appropriately, but I also want to have a bit of fun with it.

Red Sea Rigg or mufti if it is "Orient Express" (i'd understand a '20' orientalist theme). Black tie with a fez will also work.

The black tie guide (google it) answers all. Shame the tux is a notch, but if you already own it, go for it. Hope it doesn't have more than one button and flapped pockets. If you have some cash and wanna go festive, thought about all the various fun black tie accessories? (Top hat, gloves, opera scarf)
