Inspired by the @shopcanoeclub podcast, here are my top 10 (sneakers only, but feel free to mix it up)

In no particular order:
1) Nike Air Force Ones (lows)
2) Vans Classic Slip ons
3) Converse Chuck Taylor high tops
4) New Balance 990 (I like v1s best)
5) Adidas Stan Smith
6) Vans Sk8-His
7) Jordan 1s
8) Visvim FBT
9) Adidas Shelltoes
10) Going to keep this open, because I'm sure I've forgotten something important. I want to same Nike Air Max for now.

i love those, but for me, I prefer burgundy Docs (or Solovairs) fopr casual boots. That was my jam through college and in grad school when I was not wearing hightop chucks.
Best Chuck collab recently? Black hemp high top chucks with Stussy, with the Chucks x Stussy mash up embroidered logo. Sorta wish that I'd bought 2 pairs.

Gotta add the classic New Balance 574's.

Agree with the Adidas shells/Nike AF1's.

Never had a pair of Vans. Tried on many times, but they seemed uncomfortable. Maybe it was just because they were new.

I like the Stan Smith because an ex GF of mine has been wearing them since we were teenagers.

I picked up a pair of NB 327's when they first came out. White with red trim. Love those.

Tretorn Nylite...the classic white with blue! My go to travel footwear. The website would have a sale maybe once/twice a year. I would order 2 at a time.

Will add more.

Also like the suede Puma Clyde's...even though I don't think I ever owned a pair.

I prefer the Converse Chuck low's.

Dunks. Bought my first pair in HS...Syracuse hi tops and picked up another pair the summer before last.

Not bad, but I like and wore the original Frees way more. I like the flyknits, but there is way more side the side movement if you are doing a lift.

I was a tennis phenom in my glorious youth, and the original K-Swiss was my shoe.
I lived in them.

Now as an adult, it's Archibald of London, Superga, and Diadora...

edit....I also have a pair of the James Bond edition Ultra Boosts, because it was so ridiculous, I had to have a pair.

I am not talking about performance. I am solely remarking on its silhouette. It is perfection.

Then Definitely. I think that it's also hard to underestimate the influence of the Roshe Run.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
