I was just wondering if their are any other forum members that use UPromise when shopping? Whilst I have no student loans (cuz I'm so old), I do use UPromise to save money to give to my nieces and nephews when they get old enough for college. The way I see it, I'm spending the money anyway - might as well get a 'rebate' from it.

For those not familiar with upromise, its a rebate program and several companies participate. However, the money is for college - either future college expenses or repaying student loans. You can save for yourself or anyone you want... The rebate amount varies (Brooks Brothers - 3%, ralphlauren.com - 3%, ebay - 1%, etc). Once you accumulate $25, it transfers automatically into your linked student loan account or into a 529 plan (tax-free education savings plan.

Just wondering if anyone else is using it...
